I have been a surfer since a young child and have been teaching surfing for 25 years. I also train surfers to become instructors. I have started surfing academies in Australia and also in The Philippines. While I was in The Philippines, I came up with the innovative style of teaching surfing in an artificial wave pool (with great success). Now there are a number of surf schools in The Philippines doing the same activity. Due to the popular interest in people wanting to try surfing all over the world, I am sure there would be a strong demand for people in China to either try, or take up the sport. In an artificial wave pool, there are so many benefits of learning and improving skills of surfing, such as, a controlled enviroment, no unexpected dangers, constant waves, able to control the wave conditions, close supervision and many other benefits. The industry has recently boomed throughout Asia and through educating people in surfing, there are many other sectors in the industry to tap into. I would like to help start a surfing academy in one of the major cities in China, then possibly to other cities. All this venture needs, is a venue, equipment and a extensive marketing campaign. There are existing wave pools in china suitable for surfing for beginners to novice levels. Then there is the potential to build wave pools for experienced to professional level with the possibilities holding events at any of those levels. I encourage any investors interested in water sports to help me get this venture off the ground and running. With an aggressive marketing campaign directed at the right market, I am sure this would be a rewarding venture. Not only profitable, but also the rewarding forfilment of introducing and seeing people (especially children) enter the world of surfing.
